GTA III in my opinion was a lot harder than newer versions, missions towards the end of the game, even with the famous weapon cheat, weren’t that easy.

Developed by Rockstar North, GTA III changed the face of gaming among the sandbox genre; the game was the start of something big. The Grand Theft Auto series is now one of the biggest selling games in the world, and it all started to kick off with the release of Grand theft Auto 3.

I remember slaying hours on this game, the kept me entertained as did everything else. With Grand Theft Auto games the player doesn’t have to follow the story missions to have fun, the greatest part was starting your own mayhem, going on a rampage, putting the weapon cheat on and blowing stuff up. The really was incredible and still remains to be to this day. That’s why the game makes GOTM this month.

There are also rumours that the game will have over 90 circuits.

As with other games in the series there will be a mix of real world tracks and a few fictional ones thrown in for fun, but rumours also state that you will get the chance to create your own track and upload it online.

If you haven't guessed already, I'm talking about the Grand master of racers, Grand Turismo 5. This game will be the ultimate Driving simulator and for the first time it will have car damage, in some aspects, as well as authentic weather and improved Al systems.

E3 09 also confirmed that there are two new licensed game modes, these are NASCAR and WRC - confirming Polyphony's ongoing quest to capture every facet of the pro racing experience.

The only Question mark hanging over this game is how well our tastes have evolved since GT4. With titles such as Grid 2, Blur and Need For Speed Shift all trying to redefine the diving experience, taking us away from the safety exacting universe that GT inhabits.

So what to start off with? How about a classic, a game that started my journey of Playstation gaming and that game is Crash Bandicoot 2. This game took hours of time away from me as I played, and played, and played. I remember when I was young watching my cousin playing it and from then on, as soon as I had a PS1 and a copy of the game, I was hooked, and the whole series became epic to me. Not only did crash help the Playstation it helped me have a fun child hood.

The classic, red TNT box and the green Nitro box still make me smile today, the apples and bouncy crates, not to forget Cortex and your Feathery friend. This game really started something when I was young, and maybe, just maybe, it’s the reason I stuck with Sony. Naughty Dog know how to make a good game.

Let’s ask the question. Should there new there be a zombie type mini-game in the new call of duty?

Yes

Of course there should be a game mode among the same lines of that found in COD WAW. It’s a big success for Treyarch and is one of their main selling points for the release of their map packs. Not only is it a great money bringer it’s also a fun, tactical, long lasting game mode that is really entertaining to play. So why would they get rid of it? Activision wouldn’t have to copy it, instead they could transform it, improve it and make it better in all forms, we all know how good Activision are at improving things. In conclusion it’s a great game mode; it’s profitable for the company and fun for the player. Why get rid of something like that?

No

How long can the fun of shooting zombies in the head really last. Trayarch have extended the game mode as long as it will go now and I think it’s time to end it. The mode is very repetitive and can’t last forever. Instead of doing a zombie game mode I think that Activision should do something completely new, something better, something that will hit the same if not more success of the Nazi zombie mode. Copying is not Activision’s style and they will not add a zombie mode. I really hope the add a new mini game mode that will match Trayarch’s Nazi zombie mode, for now the zombies are gone, gone for good. Out with the old in with the new.

The choice is yours tell me your thoughts.

So where would you put the next GTA, your area, your country? Let’s have an argument.

Las Vegas

The lights, the glamour, the dessert, all seem crazy enough for a Grand Theft Auto game. Las Vegas would be a great location for the GTA scene, the area would be big and you can just imagine what type of songs they would play on the radio. The whole attitude and style of the place suits the nature of GTA perfectly in my opinion, but what era should the game be set? The 1980s, the 1990s, or the 2000s, maybe even all three? For me it would defiantly be all three, I loved the way Driver pulled it off and the guys at GTA would defiantly pull it off, if not in style. Character name: Elvis.

London

You knew it was coming; England’s capital, London. Of course GTA was set there many games back in GTA London. Hopefully Rockstar wouldn’t mock the British accent too much. The cars would be classics such as the Mini and the buses, red and old. Whether it be set in the 60s or now, I personally think London would be a great location for the game to be set in. Listening to the Beetles whilst driving away from the cops would be a great experience. Character name: Benjamin.

Alabama

This would defiantly make for a good GTA. Alabama suit the style of the game and would rebelliously be fun. The map would be big, the locals would be funny and the sound track would contain mostly Lynyrd Skynyard. Cars maybe not be the most exciting but the mission would be. Knowing Rockstar they would defiantly make a great story in a place like this. Sweet Home Alabama! Character name: Billy.

Cornwall

Bet you don’t even though were this is. If you live in the U.K you might know. It’s the County where I live in the south west of England. Seeing my house on GTA would be fun to start off and I’m sure you would like to see yours on the game. Imagine seeing yourself in the game, taking the trash out. The area I come from is a perfect location for GTA. A half built town, a bad reputation, pubs, and a sometimes strange population. Cars are varied and Cornwall in general has some beautiful beaches and scenery. Character name: Jack

Moscow

Well it would defiantly be crazy; guns, war, drugs and Russians. The sound track would be interesting and would either suck or rock. The cars would be a sight and may not be the greatest seen in a GTA game, but the area would be something special and the story would defiantly be an interesting one. Character name: Ivan, pronounced e-van.

What one would you choose, I woulld love to hear. Please comment below.

Let’s have an argument, an argument between what some would consider the best RPG, free roaming, sand box games out today. Let’s start off with Sony’s exclusive, infamous.

Infamous has been talked about for some time now and is only playable for PS3 owners. So what’s so good about? Well the game offers a super hero approach, like Spiderman except without the bad game-play, and poor graphics. Infamous is set to change the poor standard of hero games before it.

You play as Cole, a character who mysteriously has electrical powers after a package he was carrying explodes and tears down the city he lives in. Gangs have taken over the city and are causing havoc to the civilians.

Cole is a very powerful character and must make decisions though out the game that affects his karma and the way pedestrians behave around him. The choices you make effects the story line and the powers which Cole has the ability possess. Good or evil, the choices you make change the way you play.

The game looks to be a great game and a review will be up on the site as soon as possible.

Prototype, another new game among the genre takes a more graphical view to the hero style of game play. You play as a mutated character called Alex Mercer in an infected New York City. The city has been split into different sections. The U.S army are struggling to control the situation and your character is neither good nor bad.

Alex has the ability to transform his body into various weapons, including mutating his arms into spikes that can cut though flesh, steel and anything. Along with that he can also consume peoples bodies, taking their identify, he is basically a shape shifter

The game looks great and offers gore, New York and The United States Army, a game with such features really has to be good. However will it be quite as good as infamous, both games offer an open world environment, but on a completely different style. Let’s move on to our last game, that being Assassins Creed 2.

Assassins Creed was to be as some might say; repetitive though the story was in my opinion good, however not great. This game is not completely new like the other two; players have already had a taste of the action form the first game, whether they liked it or not the squeal is set to raise the bar and hopefully answer some unanswered questions.

The second game is set in Italy a few hundred years ahead of the last and instead of playing Altair you play a new character called Ezio, as well as Desmond the person held captive in 2012.

So you know the details, but what game? All the games look fantastic and if you liked the previous Assassins Creed game then the squeal maybe the one for you, however both infamous and Prototype look amazing and the choice would be a hard one if you had to decide between just one.

In graphically terms, in my opinion, I would say that Assassins Creed 2 would beat the others this is based on trailers from the other games and the quality of graphics from the last Assassins Creed.

In story terms I would go for infamous mainly because of the karma system, but the story from Assassins Creed had me hooked and I’m desperate to find out what the hell happened at the end of the last game.

Then again Prototype looks awesome and the fact that you can literally tear people in two along with other abilities makes it stand out with its gore and originality.

If I had to make a choice between the 3 games, I would chose infamous, mainly due to fact it’s a PS3 exclusive that looks great, has what seems to be a great story and has a person who possesses some kick ass powers.

Feel free to comment on the choice you would make and leave a reason if you wish, I would love to hear your say.

It was a slow start for the PS3; Motorstorm really impressed me, showing off a small percentage of the PS3’s power. Call Of Duty had what I thought to be good online, however compared to its sequel it was nothing.

As time went on the PS3 grew and started to shine. The haters were sent back to their dying Xbox’s and I was happy:).

The stream of updates that came from there on completely changed the PS3. Firmware updates were coming fast and there were making some great improvements. Soon more of my friends started to own PS3’s and I could kick their A** online.

Over next few months Sony, announced more great games and once again I was happy, very happy. The new redesigned Playstation Store was a great improvement and content was flying in thought its doors.

Then I had an idea, I decided to start my very own site. It’s been fun and instead of reading the stories I write them. Now followed by a great team I continue on this journey that the PS3 inspired me to do.

Littlebigplanet came next, and it was immense. No one had ever done anything like it before. Custom levels, easy tools, and sack boy, genius. With Motorstorm: Pacific Rift and Resistance 2 confirmed the PS3 was shinning bright, just like the smile on my face. The two games were both exclusives and both fantastic buys. Then Killzone 2, one word WOW! This game was and still is incredible; the online is amazing and the story, in my words Rocks!

Now we’re here. inFamous around the corner along with more great exclusives like God Of War 3, Heavy Rain and Uncharted 2. It’s been a long journey and it’s going to be a bright future. My PS3 was worth every single penny I saved for, and I’m glad I bought it.

A massive explosion rips through New York City and Cole McGrath, you, are the last man standing in a huge crater. The explosion has triggered something inside you, as you soon find out you have gained various powers, but first you become unconscious for 2 weeks. After waking up from the disaster you find New York City in chaos, gangs are terrorizing the streets and the NYPD have fled the city mainly because of you and the chaos you’ve created.

The City is dark and very gloomy and the population is scarce. The environments are destructible, so that adds a lot to the playground of New York.

I personally like how they have almost cloned to perfection the environment of New York unlike other games that failed in the past example: Spider-Man .

Your goal is to set things straight by using your powers you fight back against all terror in New York. As Cole, yourself, struggles to learn how to control his powers and the responsibility they bring, the hard work becomes too hard and trying to save the city as well fight off larger threats of larger and more powerful enemies puts a lot on his plate.

The feature that make this game special is the fact that you chose your character, remember Fallout 3, good, as like the game you build a Karma level, you can be mean or you can be nice. Unlike Fallout 3 your behaviour results in different stories and maybe even a different ending. Well Fallout 3 did have a different dialogue but that’s not really a different end mission.

So far the game release date is set for June 9, 2009 so keep your eyes on this one it’s worth the $59.99/£39.99. No word on online play yet. It’s a Playstation 3 exclusive so it’s something that might have some awards for VGA 2010 and I hope to do a full review on the game as soon as possible.

Preview Verdict: 8.6/10
