 The reason why the Blu-Ray disc has such an advantage over the market is its smart technology. The blu-ray has a total capacity of 50GB which can give more entertainment and takes a win over DVD and HD-DVD content; especially in current video games like MGS4 and Resident Evil 5. Another advantage is the fact that Blu-Ray only needs to ship one disc to Playstation 3 users compared to the 360, as sometimes it needs to ship 2 discs or possibly more in the future (Final FantasyXIII could ship in 3 or 4 DVDs for Xbox 360). As the joke was said in MGS4.

Octacon: “Hold it, Snake, time to change the disc. I know I know…It’s a pain but you need to swap Disc 1 with Disc 2, you see the Disc labeled 2?” 

Snake: “No.” 

Octacon: “Huh? Oh, wait! We’re on a PS3 system! It’s a blu-ray disc. Dual layered too-no need to swap.” 

Snake: “Damn it.” 

Octacon: “get a grip! Yeah, what an age we live in, huh, Snake? Wonder what they will think of next.” 

The Playstation 3 has the entertainment factor too, mainly because of the clear and crystal picture it displays. Not only does it display 720p but it also supports 1080p for picture perfection. And then there’s the perfect audio, one word, wow. 

The PS3 is really worth the money if you want your HDTV to shine with HD glory. I have heard this too many times from too many companies, “your HDTV is nothing without your Blu-Ray player” and it’s true, so buy yours now. 

There are the advantages for blu-ray player it has capacity and entertainment, all combined with the Playstation 3, it’s a lethal mix.
