Sony Are Rebranding Playstation

The PS3 slim isn’t the only new thing happening in the PlayStation world.  Sony are completely rebranding the PlayStation image.  Images of the new logo will soon appearing on the all PlayStation products.

The logo is the third in the history of the PlayStation 3.  The first being the classic spidey logo, saying PlayStation 3.  The next was very similar, except instead of the words PlayStation 3, PS3 was presented instead.  That brings us to the present, the new logo is now written in a new font saying, PS3.

The new logo will also soon appear on all PlayStation box art.  Instead of the old logo down the left of the game, the newer one will be shown at the top of the game along with the traditional PlayStation logo and PlayStation Network logo.

John Koller has told Ars Technica that, “We’re in the process of replacing the Spider-Man font to the PS3 logo. [The new design] will be the logo moving forward, that will be in place on the hardware and peripherals and software, starting with Uncharted 2.”

Take a look at the picture below it shows the final design that will soon appear on PS3 game boxes.
