PSP Go Not Very Profitable In Europe
05/07/2009 00:48Bit of a bad start for the re-launch of the PSP as some retailers, mainly in Europe, are refusing to stock the PSP, but why? Well the PSP Go! has no games on disc to be bought in shops, meaning there is less profit to be made, customers won’t return to buy games as they can’t. As a result some retailers are saying they won’t stock the PSP Go! Retailers are demanding PSN cards, like iTunes cards, so at least some profit can be made.
Pressure is now mounting on Sony, with the release of PSN cards now an option the company must consider. Retailers will however stock the PSP 3000, probably because it sells games on disc.
Shops asking for the cards include the following: Game Mania, Bart Smit and Media Markt.
