PS3 Production Doubled!

Sony have ordered enough parts to make another one million PS3’s in the autumn of this year; this is according to reports from the Far East where most of the components are made. (Obviously Sony has noticed all the people missing out on this truly immense console ;) The figure is double the number made in the last three months, said The Telegraph, picking up on a story reported by DigiTimes.

Much more speculation is now going round relating this story to the PS3 Slim and assumption of a price cut. Production costs reduced by 70%, more PS3’s now being made, it seems a price cut is on its way, but as for the PS3 Slim, it’s a mystery.
