Naughty Dog Aim High

Uncharted 2 has truly wowed the majority of reviewers. The game is days away and the wait is almost over. But how many copies will sell? Naughty Dog hopes to sell 2.5 million + copies. It’s a target I think they can meet. The previous game, Uncharted sold 2.5 million copies, according to Naughty Dog, and the team hope to beat that number with the sales of Among Thieves.

In a recent interview, Naughty Dog Community Manager Arne Meyer had the following to say:

"We’d love to grow the franchise - that’s the bottom line. No matter what you do it’s always very difficult to grow from one game to another. And that‘s what our milestone is, Meyer said.” If we can do better than we did with the previous game then we’re set."

The current top selling Playstation 3 game, according to Wikipedia is Gran Turismo Prologue, selling 3.94 million. I personally think that Uncharted 2 will go up there with the greats. Let’s hope the teams efforts pay off.
