HD Recording Comes To The PS3

Over on the EU Playstation Blog there is news of a new update for Play T.V. Update (1.21) will now allow users to record in HD.

Play T.V will now let you pause, watch and record HD T.V from all of the latest free HD channels. It will also allow you record and play other channels simultaneously, both in HD.

Non-HD channels will now have better up-scaling qualities meaning standard definition will now look better than ever.

Phone capabilities for the Anio have also been improved.  Sony says that the user interface has been tweaked for easier use.
