EA On Call of Duty: We're Going After This With A Vengeance
2009-12-10 09:56The war is raging over at EA as they once again tell us how they want the top spot in the first person shooter genre.

At today’s UBS Global Media and Communications Conference, EA CEO John Riccitiello, said a lot of interesting things.
In particular, whilst talking about Bad Company 2, he had nothing but praise and confidence when comparing it to Call of Duty.
“Battlefield represents our best opportunity of taking the first-person business back from Activision. It does online better, has destructible environments... you can drive the vehicles in the game... I think there's room for both but we've got our competitive juices flowing - we've taken it back in the Skate category and this is next, we're going after this with a vengeance."
"Often, in a category as competitive as this, a title can get tired," he continued. "I think we're at that point, and I think Battlefield represents our best opportunity of taking that [genre] back."
The war is beginning, the war of the war games as I call it. But will Battlefield retake the top spot at which Call of Duty sits? I can’t wait to find out.
