E3 09: Assassins Creed 2 PS3 Demo Shown

Sony’s conference defiantly didn’t disappoint, I loved it. At the conference a demo of the game Assassins Creed 2 was shown. 

Let’s just say this game is going to be, well, fantastic. The demo shown at Sony’s press conference saw us getting a look in at this great title. The scene is Italy and the city is having a party, fireworks fill the sky and your character is sitting on a bench, talking to a friend. Suddenly he kills someone in front of him who appears to be listening and lays him on the bench.

From then on the action is intense and the stealthy kills continue. The demo also showed a flying machine and the developer’s then talk about how Leonardo Da Vinci designs your weapons.

The demo shows your new character Ezio kill with new stealth moves, one of these being the double knife, were two people are struck to the neck by the games signature blade from the hand.

Shortly after, fighting is shown and Ezio is a man who doesn’t always need weapons. He uses his bare hands to take weapons from enemies then kills them with some great moves. He then assassinates his target and uses a new stealth weapon, a smoke bomb, to escape his enemies and dives into the water.

The footage looked great and this game has blown all my expectations away. The graphics look amazing and Ubisoft looked to have improved by a great deal.
