Call Of Duty 5
2009-03-21 22:45In my opinion, and I think a lot of people are with me here when I say, Call Of Duty 5, World At War is the best Call Of Duty instalment in the series yet. The graphics are first-class and overall the game play is awesome. When you turn on your system and start playing you won’t put your controller down, well maybe until you become sick of it, which I doubt, you will because every second of this fantastic World War 2 shooter is mind blowing, sharp, shooting action. The single player might not be as good as it should, but saying that you still have to battle your way through 14 nonstop, action packed levels to defeat the mad Germans. Talking about mad Germans that brings me straight onto the games Nazi Zombie mode. It takes minutes to get addicted to this truly fantastic mini-game and days to get unhooked. Your objective is to defend your position whilst killing crazed blood ridden Nazi Zombies, who are trying to, well I don’t know, let’s just say they want you dead. Points are earned in the mode by killing enemies and bonus points are rewarded for head shots or knife kills. You can them use points earned to either unlock new areas, weapons, or you can even have a crack at the mystery crate, which gives you a random weapon for a resoluble price.
Now back to the story mode, the levels that really, literally light up the game have to be: "Burn 'em out “and” Blowtorch & Corkscrew ". And I’m sure you can guess why? It’s because both of them include the flamethrower, and this was something defiantly missing from previous versions of the game. Burning Japanese soldiers is quite a good feeling, obviously only in game.
The single player is very easy well in easy mode, surprise, surprise, mainly because you suddenly become a hard man and can take 5 shots. But when you do Hard or veteran, well what can I say….good luck. Veteran is like really life, you get shot you die; it defiantly adds a more strategic side to the game. The bit that makes the game even harder are the trophies, as some are really hard to get and demand levels to be completed on veteran. The single player is really good when it comes to story but it does need more levels. Overall I would rate the Single Player 8.3/10.
The Multiplayer in COD5 WAW is phenomenal. It becomes a whole different game when it comes to the Multiplayer. My favourite part has to be levelling up. There are 65 levels and boy let me tell you its really hard to get to 65 if you're not a good sniper. The multiplayer is packed with different kinds of games your can either set up with your friends or join games created. The only bad part about Multiplayer is that it is hackable and contains glitchs. Some people can never play fairly. One time I was playing and there was a floating gun right beside me! WEIRD…………..
Overall it’s a great game that could have been improved, but in you love your Call Duty you'll love this as it's arguably the best on its genre. And the Multi-Player like the last is brilliant.
Overall I would rate the Multiplayer a 9.2/10
Average 8.7/10

I think like most companys are a bit biased a 9.2 ISNT really that good.
It's missing the "Addiction" Factor SURE zombies are good the first 100000 Times you play them...anyways.
