Backwards Compatibility Will Not Be Returning To The PS3.

For those of you who like to play your PS2 classics, often on your PS3, think of your selves as a dying breed.

Sony have announced that the PS3 slim along with all other models, will not have backwards compatibility. Sony’s John Koller summed it up in a few words, “It’s not coming back.”

Personally this issue was never a problem for me, however I can’t help but feel sorry for those who were concerned. There is plenty of great PS2 classics around that would still offer the same enjoyment of those on the PlayStation three.
